I don't feel like making a topic so I post it here. I going to get Doom3 and expansion from Steam, how is it as a game?

I just heard about this announcement yesterday and pre-ordered right away. I had a 30 dollar gift card to Best Buy so that was great. I never played Doom 3, so that is only a bonus to Doom 1 and 2 for me.
