Sorry to bother someone with this, but I've come across a bug that is killing my playthrough.
To put it simply, I just can't talk to Serana.
When I hover the crosshair over her I get the 'press A to talk' (I use a controller) but no matter how many times I press it, nothing happens. This has been the case constantly. It all started when you do the quest to find her, when she's marked as 'Mysterious Woman' and I couldn't talk to her then, but I got around it by googling the problem, which provided the solution: enter 'resetquest dlc1vq01'.
That was fine, and the next piece of quest-crucial dialogue was instigated by her, but now I need to talk to her again at the beginning of the quest 'Chasing Echoes' and again, I can't talk to her.
Could anyone advise as to what I should do?

This has happened to me as well. If she will follow you still try getting into a fight with an enimy this may break her out of it. If she wont follow you you could try getting into a fight with a local and sheeth your weapon real fast but then you will go to jail and that could also cause an issue with her as well. Don't feel left out you are not the only one who is not getting replys lately it seems like everyone has just droped off the map!
