so im about to do a third play thru. there is a skill that turns enemy corpse into ashes at level 2 no matter if they dectect u or not.towards the end of my frist play thru it was rather gruesome, and at the end of the game theres talk about piles of corpses and such i think i had one of the darker endings. my question is if i get this skill early on would i still get the darker ending? or would it see as ashes are not really corpses? cause i do enjoy a little stealth i just sometimes need to un wind on unexpecting enemys and want to do more then knock em unconscious? i releize that ill have lets rats and such. but would the ending change?

You would still gain High Chaos because you are actually killing them.

Ashes come from corpses, and corpses come from you killing people (duh), so.... Yes, if you kill enough people you would still get a darker ending,
since it's the actual killing that gives you high chaos, not what you do with bodies afterward.

I think this is the actual point of that ability. It leaves no bodies to be found, thus no alerts from other guards who stumble across the dead guard.

I was wondering if Shadow Kill affects the amount of weepers and rats, or is that solely based on your chaos level?

It is solely based off your chaos level.
