Thalmor Presence in Dragonborn?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:02 am

Hey does anyone think the Thalmor will be present in Dragonborn? Hopefully there will be a sidequest arc in which we can eradicate them >:D If not for that than maybe in the next Elderscroll game

Yep..... I a DLC that has nothing to do with them, they'll throw in a quest that will eradicate one of the greatest threats that mankind has faced.

[sarcasm/off]

I think they'll be ended in TES6

Although not strictly talking about the Thalmor in DB, this thread talks about the idea of Thalmor in a DLC or new TES game. Might be worth a look to you? :)

As far as I remember, Dawnguard had little-to-none Thalmor involvement.

I doubt we'll have anything more to do with the Thalmor outside of dlc exclusively featuring them.

Correct, though speculation seems to thrive on here.

I'm not sure if it will fit with the current politics. I'm pretty sure none of the Dunmers would worship Talos.

It would be nice, even if it was a small sidequest. Especially since there is a Nord village in this new area. I wouldn't mind killing more Thalmor.

There would need to be a reason for the Thalmor to be there though, right? Unless there is a Talos statue where the Nords are or whatever, there wouldn't be much reason for them to go that far afield yet. What with the struggle going on with the SC etc.

I don't think they'll have anything to do with Dragonborn. They're probably going to be the main focus in TES6 though, when we go to Elsweyr (saying this hopefully).

I hope the dlc has absolutely nothing to do with the Thalmor. Yawn.

DLC dedicated to driving them out of skyrim would be ok. But obliterating them as a whole? Yeah that should be saved for the next game. Too big for a DLC.

Obliterating them would be difficult considering they are currently spread across several provinces.

Black Marsh... Argonian land lol

Here is the lore.. It does say that Solstheim is the only Dark Elf land.. Getting to Solstheim would require going through land belonging to the Argonians or taking a boat through water that have icebergs..

The abolition of slavery improved relations with Morrowind, but Argonians did not forget the transgressions of the Dark Elves. The ramifications of the arrival of the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Nerevarine, especially the loss of their http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Tribunal, left the Dunmer very weak at the beginning of the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Fourth_Era, and the Argonians had emerged from the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Oblivion_Crisis more unified, stronger and ambitious than ever before.http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Argonian#cite_note-TIC-0http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Argonian#cite_note-Morrowind-13http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Argonian#cite_note-Oblivion-14 Taking advantage of the eruption of Red Mountain that weakened Morrowind, they successfully and ruthlessly invaded mainland Morrowind, driving the remaining Dunmer out of their ancestral homeland and onto the small island of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Solstheim and across Tamriel.

There might, and that is a big MIGHT, be a Thalmor HQ, similar to the one in Solitude, with like two guards. But in all honesty, the Thalmor have bigger problems than watching over Solstheim. And I'm fairly certain the Dunmer have no love for them either. All in all, I wouldn't be betting on seeing any Thalmor in this DLC.

I really hope they don't play a major part in the DLC. I think they've served their purpose in the main part of the campaign and aren't needed anymore.
