I see it's brighter (meh) and some graphical changes (less color on Betruger's coat, for example), not to mention Sarge is younger. :|

Wow :( So glad I didn't spend the $30. So not worth it. In fact, the user made hi-res texture packs that have been out there for years by far blow away whatever improvements they think they made with this "BFG Edition". I don't know I think it's rude to charge that much money for this. Especially to those of us who own the game and paid full price back then. If you have the original game (original D3 that is) they should cut it down to maybe $10. $30 for a game I already have is crap and it looks like it didn't come out too great anyway lol

Oh well, it was a nice thought

the motion blur is awful

the brightness is increased in bfg which gives it a slight washed out look, and is part of why comparisons of textures arent easy, or they seem better in the original. when infact they are the same textures. they were never detailed to start with especially up close.

I wanted to reinstall/replay D3 about 3 months ago and decided to wait until this came out. Looks like I won't be buying this mess lol. I'll be reinstalling D3 as well as Wulfen's texture pack (which will totally rock). So I'll miss out on the missing levels...no biggie. If this comes down to 5-10 bux on steam then I may get it ONLY for the lost levels.

So how are the new levels included? Integrated into the game, or as a separate "mod" like RoE was for the original?

Noooo! Nerve.wad is original doom 2 addon called "No rest for the living" created by Nerve software!
The lost mission is fully integrated into remastered doom 3! You can't play it with original doom 3!!!!

Right, Doom 3's stuff is in .pk3 files. Or .pk4 files? But couldn't you take those files, drop them inot a subfolder in Doom3 directory, and play the new campaign as a mod (Resurrection of Evil worked like that)? And is there any point in doing so?

Then again, why bother when there's honest mods for the original  Like In Hell
