Rant #2: So, you DIDN'T DO SQUAT!

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:28 am

What in the hell? This is unbelievable. This is Electronic Arts level of hideousness. This is worse, than Sega - they at least DID something in their rereleases. You are disgusting, id. Shame on you.
All this "remastered" thing turned out to be total bullcrap. You just tweaked the inis a bit, made a new UI and called it a day. I still can't believe this. When I read it, words "What", "the" and "[censored]" come to mind.
You know, those of you who bought that piece of crap might as well start demanding your money back.
And the funniest thing is that they charge those, who already have the original, that is SUPERIOR IN EVERY FREAKING WAY, a [censored] TWENTY BUCKS for NOTHING BUT A LEVEL PACK AND A LOAD OF BS.
id Software, you are officially dead to me. This was the worst customer treatment and the biggest BETRAYAL of a loyal fanbase I've ever seen. Go eff yourselves.

I agree, truly disgraceful. They also removed the dynamic shadows from the flashlight, removed the blood spatter from the ground and walls when shooting enemies, removed the flashlight as a viable weapon, made the load times atrocious on console versions, and locked the textures to the high setting. What a joke!

An unfunny one, my friend.

You are forgetting the butchering of Doom 2's secret levels.

I am also very disappointed to see all this unveil by customer experience, how can you do this to us after nearly 2 decades of loyalty we get screwed over like this?

Check it out, another glitch I dicovered that causes the blood spatter effect on the floors and walls to disappear. The 2004 version of the game (and even the xbox 1 port) is clearly the superior version.
