The most important fact to know before starting the construction of ANY homes is how the additions system works. In total there are 9 possible addition upgrades for your homes but only three can be chosen per home so choose carefully!!! The good news is that you can have one of eacfi among all three homes if you plan accordingly!
It is also important to know that it is far cheaper to purchase iron ingots and gather old at sawmills yourself than to simply purchase everything via stewards! You will get 10 wood for every main log you send through the sawmill yourself. Doesn't take much time to get a ton of supplies here.
And the final reminder for now is to save often because there are some glitches that will have to be fixed in a patch that can ruin your skyrim week!
