I've been playing the game fine - no issues - until today when I tried to exit the Flood District via the door to the Old Port District Outskirts heading back to the pub. The game freezes there every time. There's no error that I can see, it just locks up and I have to use Task Manager to end it.

System Specs:

Core i7 4.1 GHz, Gigabyte Killer Motherboard
8GB RAM
SSD C Drive
7200 RPM Seagate D Drive (this is where the game is installed)
nVidia GeForce GTX 680 Video Card (latest drivers installed)
Asus Xonar Sound Card (latest drivers installed)
Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate

I tried deleting everything in the binaries folder and re-downloading the files (I'm playing under Steam) as I read that helped some folks, but it didn't make a difference with me. I've also tried loading up an earlier save file and going to the door again - made no difference. Rebooting didn't fix it either. At a loss for what to try next. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm playing through Steam. There is no disc. I did redownload the binaries folder, just in case. But no difference.

So I tried reinstalling the game, running it in windowed mode, and loading an earlier save. Nothing helps, still freezes when going through the door to load. Anyone have any suggestions?

I finally fixed it by reloading a game that was about 2 hours earlier and using it. When I got back to the spot it worked. Must be corrupted saves somehow.
