Up till now I was playing with Xbox 360 controller and using super convenient F5 and F9 to quicksave and quickload. I could easily switch between kb+m and gamepad controls because the game was reacting to both control methods at the same time. So if I moved a mouse, camera would move, if I moved anolog stick, camera would move.
Today gamepad stopped working ingame - it works in the menu, but is completely "cut off" in the game. I made some tests, reinstalled the game, disabled/enabled cloud, reset options, etc, etc. Here's what I found:
For some reason, as of today the game REMEMEBERS what is your FIRST input method after you run it - if on the main screen with "press any key" you use keyboard, then you can no longer use a gamepad - it may work in the menu, but in the game it does not work at all. And all the prompts (press "X" to open door) in menu and ingame are for keyboard (previously if you touched gamepad, promts would automatically switch to gamepad buttons, and if you pressed some keys, prompts would automatically switch to keys).
BUT! when the first thing you do is press a button on the gamepad, then... you guessed it - KEYBOARD AMD MOUSE STOP WORKING IN-GAME! Sorry for caps, but this is mind blowing - when you "initialize" the game with gamepad, then the game completely ignores keyboard input while in game - it works in the menu, but not in game, so I can no longer quick save and quick load using keyboard, and play using gamepad.
I spent a few hour today trying to fix it, but no avail. Perhaps there some kind of "stealth patch" that borked it?
