Favorite land plot?

What's your favorite land plot for a house? I started a new character and I'm short on cash so I'm trying to decide for the first house.

Falkreath? Morthal? Dawnstar?

This video shows the spots:

I'm tented by the Dawnstar one I think, maybe Falkreath. I like the view of the Dawnstar one and it's a central location with Whiterun not too far.

Discuss.

I only have 2 at the moment, Falkreath and Morthal. I have to say Falkreath is my personal favourite out of those 2

Morthals swampy area fits in nicely for my evil wizard.

I don't really like them really. The plot in the Pale is barely in the Pale, and Whiterun is just down the road making it kind of useless if you have a house in Whiterun. Not to mention that it's right between two giant camps.

The plot in Falkreath is okay. Stands on a rock above the lake, and directly below an evil conjurer. Such a pleasant view with such a fine neighbor that wants his Daedra to rip you in half.

I find the plot in Hjaalmarch (the hold where Morthal is located) to be the best of them from what I have seen. The only bad side of it I can think of is that it's in the ugly marshes, but even the marshes surrounding it aren't so bad. I have yet to get any microsoft points to buy Hearthfire so I really can't give my full judgement on the plots yet. I was so excited to have a house in the Pale and have everything covered in snow, but now I am disappointed that it's directly on the border of the Pale and Whiterun. I will try to adapt to it as best as I can, if not, I will be making Hjaalmarch my new home.

I don't really like the marshes unless it's to gather ingredients. My point about being close to Whiterun was to unload stuff after adventuring... unless our steward can buy it from us? That would be great. Can't really decide...

Out of the two I have (Falkreath and The Pale) I like Falkreath the best. On a clear sunny day it's beautiful, the middle of the woods above and looking out over a lake. It's peaceful.

I guess I'm going for Falkreath. Hope this is the right decision!

The Pale (although not really in the pale and more in Whiterun) is amazing. My personal favorite.

I wanted to build in Whiterun hold, so I'm quite happy with the Dawnstar plot.

I don't even have the DLC, but I can already say I prefer the forests of falkreath.

I hate them all because I can't seem to get any. Everything is bugged.

I admit I spent a couple of real-time hours trudging between the three, I think the Morthal plot, looking out onto the marshes, is the most atmospheric. However it does snow there a lot, so the first one I will build on will probably be Falkreath. The one in the Pale doesn't seem to have a lot going for it, but then I'm not a big fan of snow. Oh for a manor in the Rift...

Bugged para ti.

So far, I've gotten 2 of the 3. I don't really like any of the locations so far. I'm gonna try out the Morthal one now.

From what I saw on the video about hearthfire, I wont like the morthal home. Its to close to the swamps which are really laggy.

Yes. So much yes. I wanted a house in the rift or the reach, but in a theme other than whiterun's.
