It Might Be Days Before I Experience The DLC

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:06 pm

This always catches me out with "Elder Scrolls" DLC.

I grab it as soon as it comes out (with the exception of Horse Armour) but then don't see it for ages because my charactger has to roleplay their way to the situation that kicks it off.

Anyone else stuck in the same boat?

...by choice.

I won't be getting any DLC on launch. If Bethesda is going to make me wait 30 days, I can wait until a sale just as easily.

I don't recall any of Beth's DLCs going on sale, maybe with the exception of their 10 dollar Fallout DLCs. I think you might be waiting to rebuy Skyrim for its Ultimate Edition or GOTY.

Skyrim has already been on sale on Steam and so long as it's available, the Dawnguard DLC will eventually show up on sale on Steam as well. It may take a few months, but it will be on sale eventually.

I'm on PC, it will be weeks before I play Dawnguard.

But yes, I usually have the same problem - I only go somewhere if my characters feels the need to do it. Which sometimes doesn't happen for a long, long time (I visited Markarth for the first time after, like, 160 hours). On the bright side: my main character lives in Riften and she'll probably want to check out this new canyon that suddenly appeared in the neighbourhood.

Won't get to see it any time soon since I am a PC player and M$ has the bucks to get it out on Xbox first.

Well I've had it two days now and my character is still doing other things.

I'll get there eventually.

Did this with my Dunmer. I'm excited to tackle the content (again), but I also enjoy being slow and methodical with my roleplaying, instead of half-assing justification just to see it quicker.
