Hi there, I think there is a HUUUGEEEEE bug in the game

During the start of the bloodline quest, you take sarena home, and she tells the watchman to open the gate, and then enter the castle. Well, I have a problem where the gate opens but I can't enter the castle. I try and hit A to enter the door but nothing happens. I've tried the usual including - waited, reverted to old save, started the quest again, downloaded the dlc again, deleted cache ect. but that doesn't fix anything!

Does anybody else have this problem??

Yep. I do. Pisses me off.

I had this same bug and found a solution. It involves using a glitch (lol) by going through the wall. Get a platter or a plate (platter works the best) and put it up against the gate at eye level. Run straight into the platter and you will start glitching through the gate. It might take a few tries, but I could replicate this exploit and was able to enter the castle and continue the main quest.

Edit: Here is a video on how to do the glitch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDJRKLRtYOY&feature=related - Just do this at the gate and you will get through, and you can go in the door and continue the quest. Don't worry about Serana not getting through because she will automatically appear when you go inside the castle.

I think you misunderstood. The gate is up. We just can't get into the door. You press A and nothing happens.

This glitch won't help with the problem.

I think the only way to solve this,is by loading an earlier save.I thinks it happens if you reach Volkihar before you start the Dawnguard questline.

i've the Problem that the gate don't open.

loading older saves and traveling and waiting don't works.
