Just finished ROE Xbox 360 and something is missing.

I just finished Doom 3 ROE on the 360 and I noticed a lot is missing when compared to the Xbox version. I dusted off my old Xbox copy to see, and sure enough. Anyone else notice this? I never played the PC version because my PC svcked at the time. Is this version of ROE the PC version?

Yea, they removed the toxic waste part where you needed oxygen in the canisters. I never found that annoying but somewhat interesting.

Never played the xbox port. The 360 version is based on the pc original.
But compared to the pc version, there's some stuff missing.

The need for oxygen in the waste tunnels is gone (the area itself is in there), some maps have been simplified (Boss 3 area) and the fullblown action sequence in hell when moving through the teleporter is also missing completely.
Some effects in Delta Labs unknown have also been reduced.
Why they've cut these parts from ROE is still a mystery.

Doom3 main campaign is pretty much intact.

My girl and I figured the Xbox version of ROE must have had extra content to justify the price on console. It's no big deal, If I want to play those extra levels I can just pop in ROE Xbox since the 360 is BC.

Yes! You can easily say that xbox version is somehow more true to PC original than BFG version, at least those parts that StahlFaustus mentioned are there.
Here's some funny 12 year old kid playing RoE on xbox pretty skillfully, so I don't understand why the hell they dumb down games??

Since they have to QA everything that ships, I doubt they svck at it :). Remember they play sections of each map over, and over and over and over again.

That's funny considering they couldn't seem to squash bugs that people managed to find on their first playthrough in the first 2 days of owning the game. Face it, they didn't even QA this game.

QA has nothing to do with their skill, it's just bug fixing (and they failed at that, as commented above). Also, their QA recommending the removal of the "frustrating parts" just proves that they svck.

and you put that mask on which was cool and made the view like a bubble helmet

this was actually one of my favorite parts on ROE and i admit i was a lil disappointed with that stage being it was removed, they could have done something great looking

What the video starts with is exactly the part that is missing in ROE in the BFG edition.
I still don't have a clue why this was cut...
