One action defines your ending (Heavy spoilers)

During the siege at the hound pits pub if you kill Sokolov or Piero you will get the high chaos ending no matter how low it was up until that point. Now obviously I'm not in the habit of killing the games best characters, but I wanted to see how the game would react to my actions. This act alone seems to alter everything. I just thought it was worth mentioning.

It makes sense. They're two people who are very important to Dishonored's world. Without them, some things just aren't going to be created. Solutions to problems vanish.

Pretty cool.

Yeah, the low chaos ending is all about Sokolov and Piero working together to end the plague and pave a golden age for the empire. Without them, you've just taken away the greatest minds in the empire.

Those two are like an odd couple. Kind of adorable, actually. :P

Makes SO MUCH sense. Really cool they done this. Without either one, the Empire would crumble. They both have brilliant minds.

"Expelling you was a crime against natural philosophy itself" on of the best comments in the game :D

I let them both live and still got uberdark "Empire went to sh*t" ending on my first walkthrough.

Letting live doesn't automatically give you a low chaos ending, you still need to be a good guy.
