Vamp Argonian

Why don't Argonians have the red eye glow? IS it a bug? Will it be fixed?

I'm tired of beast races being ignored by Bethesda...

They simply don't glow. It's not a bug and if beast users make enough noise about it bethesda will prolly fix it

I just don't see why they'd exclude us?

Argonian's don't get red glowing eyes but their normal eyes' pupils are like dots and as a vampire it changes to a line like that of a cat.

I have a feeling that this won't get addressed until pigs fly, no matter HOW much noise they get about it. It seems the beast races just simply aren't important enough to Bethesda to really bother with them too much for this game, since the two races are what minorities are to minorities in the region. I'll even bet that they weren't originally going to be playable in Skyrim, which would account for the oversight of Khajiit players practically being welcomed with open arms into the cities, despite the in-game lore of Nords banning Khajiit from entering cities. But the beast races generally get to be playable in every major title that they do, since they probably always recall that it probably wouldn't be a very good idea to exclude the two races as being playable, like they did in Battlespire (which made numerous other fatal mistakes too like removing the open-world elements, for example).

But, Bethesda's done surprising things in the past, so it's still possible that this might get addressed, regardless of how likely or unlikely it may be. They finally got in mounted combat, which was a hotly requested feature for years.

Personally, I dislike the fact that it gives us completely white skin. But I guess that's off topic.

So they did away with the fangs and the eyes, but they left the pale skin as it was in vanilla? I thought the skin tone was the bigger complaint (particularly with the Khajiit), so why did they get rid of the fangs instead, which some people didn't like and others loved? I don't get it. It just makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to remove one of the things likely because of complaints but not bother with the other that was actually a more legitimate complaint in regards to the Khajiit race, since it doesn't make sense for fur to become pale in color as a result of lack of sunlight. Does lack of sunlight really cause loss of pigment like that for hair?

Truthfully, I think the ideal solution is to eventually add a more dynamic system of vampire appearance, where if you're well fed, you look exactly like you did before you were a vampire, and then if you are blood-hungry, then your skin fades, your eyes change, and vampire fangs appear. This likely wouldn't be feasible on a technical level until at least next gen, but it would be a great way to end the eternal argument over whether or not vampires should look perfectly normal or monstrous with weird eyes and fangs/longer fangs.

Yeah, I think it would do Bethesda good if they start going out and try to improve their relations with the Argonian and Khajiit fans. Though I thought I've been hearing that they got rid of the vampire fangs for Argonian and Khajiit vampires myself. If they've still got the fangs from vanilla, then I think it would be nice if they at least fixed a lot of the visual glitches that occur with them, though, like them clipping through the face between the nose and upper lip. If only vampires were allowed to change their face in order to remove this graphical error. I still think their eyes as a vampire could be a lot better. It would have been cool if they had gotten glowing orange or red eyes (probably the orange, to match the other vampires) as a vampire instead of them getting the yellow eyes with the red pupil, which is okay, but not really what I picture their eyes looking like as a vampire. I think they should have it so the Khajiit don't get paler fur as well, though I already mentioned that.

Like I said (and many others, I'm sure) before, it would actually be pretty cool if the eye color, skin tone and appearance of fangs were determined by blood hunger, but I don't really see this happening until at least TES VI. It would solve a lot of problems people have with vampires and their visual changes.
