In first time, sorry for my very bad English, i speak French.

In Belgium, Switzerland, Canada and Quebec, we don't have Dawnguard with French voices! Why??

These four countries speak mainly about French!

We wait since as long as French people, but us, what is our reward for this wait? Nothing!

It's shameful!

They will probably add subtitles or dub it in a GOYA. But all of the actors, producers, and the main company produced DG in America or other English speaking countries.

They don't have to add subtitles or dub it... there's already a french version available...but only in France! Just do as usual and make that french version available on XBL in Canada and other french speaking countries.

In canada you speak only french ? I don't think so.....what version then bethesda have to release in a multilanguage nation like switzerland or canada ?

I'm really tired of such nonsenses,really..your english don't seems too bad after all,i'm sure that with subtitles you could play the game in english without too much problems - or is your french pride the problem and you refuse even to speak or read english ?

Damn... is it that hard to understand? Bioware got it first time with all their Mass Effect DLC releases: an english version AND a french version. Everyone on the planet knows we don't only speak french but like many other countries we have 2 official languages... yes 2 !

On XBL we only see "Dawnguard (english)", now we're waiting for "Dawnguard (french)".... I don't want to replace the english version with the french one, we want them both.

French is to Canada like Spanish is to America, don't try to pass it off as their main language cause most canadians only speak english, there is no need for a french version there, only one of their provinces even know french...

Where did I say that french is the main language in Canada... please point it out cuz I can't find it. I only said that french is also an official language in Canada... writing a sign in english only is even against the law in Quebec. But anyway, that wasn't the point of this post... I was only asking why Bethesda didn't release the french version of this DLC in Canada. I bought the french version of the game here, it just makes sense that I can also buy DLC in french. My goal was not to start an english/french canadian debate here and sorry if it looked that way. Cheers !

I think a franco canadian should be able to get a french version of Dawnguard in Canada as well as person In Luxenbourg wants a french or german or english version. A lot of franco canadians dont speak fluent english and it is pretty hard for people not used to it, to play a game in english. You miss part of the instructions of the missions etc...Don't bash him down because of that.

I just realized, most people I have met and known that speak french and that are from Canada also speak english, so why should a english version be a problem in Canada.

Most people I've met in Europe speak English, so why make different versions at all.... Because everyone should have the right to choose the version he likes (provided there is one in the wanted language). The thing is that in some (european) countries there is more than one official language.

French is an OFFICIAL language in Canada, therefore there should either be a french version of Dawnguard or an english version with optional french subtitles for Canada.

Instead of creating a huge mess with these different, separate language versions Bethesda should in my opinion just make their games multilingual instead, letting the customer decide before install or download which version he'd like to play. That would make things a lot easier for every party involved.

Russian is the official language of one of the largest and most important nations in the world,the largest and most populated in europe but i don't see any russian here asking for a version for their country,they play the original english version and adequate themselves to the situation

The multilanguage its a good idea professor,but the disc space on xbox 360 is limited and i think bethesda had purposely avoided the double support for market strategy,just a supposition here

We're working some things out with Microsoft, and once we do, French versions will be available in Canada, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland.

@Cicero Just because someone knows a language fairly well, doesn't mean this person wants to use it all the time. Some people want to play their game in their naitive language. The thing is that there is already a French version. This thread is about asking Bethesda to release it to other markets thatn France and Belgium. Nobody said "Please Bethesda, make a new translation for my language." But to release an already existing one to another market.

Btw.: If Bethesda is realy going to release different versions to different markets I'll be very happy and grateful but I also hope that they have come to consider multilingual versions for future projects.

I understand it my friend,but the funny thing is that here in italy and other great european countries like germany,france and spain a lot of people was purposely asking the english version instead that is in fact superior in every department,this is the reason that made me think about thread like this

I've received info from Microsoft that the French should now be available in these territories. For those affected, we're still awaiting of an Italian version for Switzerland.
