I'm trying to adopt that girl named Luicia in Whiterun.

I talk to her and tell her I'll adopt her then she ask's if I have a house then my only dialogue option is:

"I have a house, but no room for you."

My house is complete(to my knowledge), I have a steward and my wife there.

Y U NO BECOME MY CHILD?!

You need a childs bed and chest.

probably the steward is taking her bed, that is what happened to me and I had the same thing as you husband, steward, and me new momma but that darn steward kept taking the bed the child was suppose to have, call the DB on your steward and try again to get your kid.. Good luck, remember kids are hard and mouthy just get a stray dog and horse that;s all you need hehe...

go too the jarl's steward in what ever town you live in and buy the child's bedroom set
