I just beat the vampire half of dawngaurd (besides a few side quests) and it was great. I'm going to do my dawngaurd play through tomorrow with my archer character, and I'm wondering what is better Crossbows or Bows? I have full perks in the bow skill tree besides the very last one and want to know what is the more viable option.

I believe the Dragon bone Bow but i could be wrong.

well pure damage the dragon bow would probably be better, but if you stack smithing the enhanced crossbow could be deadly

Enhanced Dearven Crossbows negate 50% of armor, plus they have exploding bolts and they can be upgraded past the base damage at the same level Dragonbone Bows can be made (I'd assume so at least, I've upgraded an Enhanced Crossbow do more damage then a Legendary Daedric Bow with the same smithing enhancing items that I found.) Plus with some of the Archery perks, the Crossbows will stagger enemies almost every time it hits, and load faster then the heavier bows.

I love crossbows.
