Help needed, update problem

Hi,

so I have got a problem, but first I must give you information about myself.

I am french, living in USA (I apologize for my broken english). My xbox is an american model, my Skyrim version is american as well. My hard drive is a french one (I came here with), my main account is french too, I have got a silver us account. My xbox is connected to internet.

Now my problem:
I am playing Skyrim since day one, I bought Dawnguard as soon as I can.
I had the same problem as the european versions, naked npcs and invisible dragons.
When the update was released for these versions few weeks ago, I had nothing, no update, I guess because my xbox is physically in the Us not in Europe.
So Dawnguard is unplayable for me.

It is possible to download Dawnguard from the american market, and I think I won t have any problem, but I do not want to spend twenty dollars twice.
At first I was thinking that the content will be locked on my account, that is why I had not done it.
I tried to update my game with a usb device and my computer but I have got no result.
I sent an email to Bethesda threw their website, several weeks ago, no answer.

I understand that my situation is maybe a bit particular, but I am sure that I am not alone to have this kind of issue.
I did everything right, buyed my games. It is not forbidden to use a foreign account (old of 7 years) on your xbox from the Us.

So my vampire character will be very happy to be abble to become a vampire lord, what solution have you for me?

When you go to Xbox Live and look at the dawnguard DLC does it say you already have it ? as in the cost is zero ?

if so, you may want to uninstall the version you got in France and re download the US Xbox live version , that may help ........

Your Xbox live account has all your download history, you can delete the version that is causing the problem in Skyrim, and download Dawnguard again for free. Once you pay for a download on xbox live, you never have to pay for it again.

If that does not work, try going through xbox live support.

Sorry, perhaps I didn't explain my situation correctly, so I'll try to be a clearer.
I downloaded Dawnguard from the French market. If I erase and redownload it, I'll still have the same problem (I tried this already). I still won't get any update.
If I download Dawnguard from the US market, I have to pay another $20.

Is there any way to get the update for my French version of Dawnguard (unavailable for me because I am living in the US) or to get the American Dawnguard version to replace my French one without having to pay?

Take this thread here. I happen to live in Luxemburg ^^ had a UK version of Skyrim and could not get the Title Update just as in your case as you happen to live in the USA.

Exactly ^^. You should contact the french support for help about this issue. Well in my case I contacted the MS Support Service and told them about the trouble I got. Eventually, they will transmit you to the Xbox Live Escalation Service for such international framed issues.

hmm I guess your idea should be possible as well. But stay assured that not all support member acts the same way. Sometimes it would need more than just one try ^^ (in my case I tried it 4 times before I got the right person XD) so just hang on there :) and don't back off easily.

If this won't help I would suggest you to contact the Bethesda customer support and open a thread on this website, stating that problem that you have in the main title. So they should get notice of it.
