Xbows, Dragonbone weapons in Hearthfire?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 3:11 pm

I don't have Dawnguard, and I'm not getting it. (Vampires svck, and they've been done to death.) My question is, what's exclusive to the first DLC, and what's carried over? Should I want a Dragonbone handaxe, for instance, do I HAVE to pay $20 for DG, or will it be avainible in Hearthfire?

Yep, dragonbone weapons only exist if you have Dawnguard.

I agree with you that vampires are overdone, but the DLC is actually pretty good (and since I use archery, the crossbows own everything).

get a $20 dlc for free with a $5 one, hmm, i dunno how successful Bethesda would be with that kind of marketing.

It'd be cool if they add a whole bunch of weapons for free-$2.00 just so people like you who do not want a certain DLC don't miss out 100% on new weapons. I am NOT saying the weapons in Dawnguard should be put in this free-$2 DLC.

Well - I just bought a wooden sword from Lucan at the Riverwood Trader. I chopped some firewood and improved it as a test. Then I got some enchanted smithing gear and wore that and took a smithing potion. I then dual enchanted the wooden sword with Absorb 30 points health and 37 points stamina. I just killed three (3) Stormcloak soldiers with my Legendary Wooden Sword of Doom.

Damage - 174
Weight - 3 pounds
Value 568
