I adopted Runa and Francois from the orphanage and moved them into my house in Solitude. Everything seemed pretty normal for a few days, but one day Francois went out to play and hasn't been back! I can't find him anywhere in Solitude. None of the NPC's have suggested anything is amiss. Where is my kid! I'm going to tan his hide when I find him!

They need to make a shout to call those kids home. I ought to Fire Breath the butt head if I ever see him again.

Im sorry but they were kidnapped. There are kidnappers that can and will take your kids away. My kids were never kidnapped n hopefully will never be so I don't know what you can do to get them back. Maybe you may get a ransom note from them. Try adopting another kid if you can then your kid is gone forever if you can't then there is either a glitch or one day you can get your kid back.

If you get one of your extra housecarls to be your steward, they act as a guard also and loyaly defend your property. I noticed they do regular sweeps around my falkreath property. I used Iona and married lydia so they are both there when i gone Lydia also watches the kids when im not there. when i get back they say mom took us to the market today, or something similar like we went fishing different things. Its a really bad idea to leave them unprotected or they wil most likely get napped. Hope this helps some. There is no fear of kidnappers inside walled cities as far i have seen though its still a good idea to leave at least a housecarl with them. they do protect you and all you own afterall I assume that extends to your kids.

I tried to adopt another kid from the orphanage but she just kept congratulating me on adopting the other kids. I keep asking my husband "How are the kids?" and he says everything is fine, so what is he hiding?

I've never left the kids alone; I have Lydia as my steward and the kids live in Solitude. They've got their dad and the house carl. One day he was running around playing, I sent Runa home and haven't seen Francois since!
