I had gotten Erik the Slayer to follow me to my house to make him my steward where he had asked and I said sure. But when I went up to him the only dialogue option I had was (dismiss your follower) so I did in the hopes of getting a new follower. However, all he does is walk around the house and yard like a steward with only a join/dismiss dialogue option. Also, I cannot hire anyone else as a Steward. Lydia is also stuck in my front yard... I told her to go home and she will not leave... So if I kill him will I be able to get another Steward? If so I would like to get Jenessa. Thanks

Hmm, i don't know about the whole killing thing. Can you not re-load an old save?

I'm not far enough in the building process to get stewards so I can't help you too much. Although, I would suggest waiting for an answer before you off good 'ole Erik.

Here's a thread with a list of the possible stewards. It looks like Jenessa is an available option..
