Stewards aren't only found in The Elder Scrolls. Anyone of wealth could hire themselves a steward in old times. A steward is just basically a butler who serves their "master" by managing properties or financial affairs and takes care of the tasks that are "below" the standards of a Jarl or anyone of importance, They're usually in charge of households of another person.

Indeed, in this case the steward is basically a "head butler" for the household.

Well thank you. Too bad. I was hoping this would lead to something along the lines of making our own city one day. But I will still get the DLC when it comes to the PC.

How awesome would being a Jarl of a hold or city be? I would so love that. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen, at least not in this DLC.
