this new dlc from bethesda looks awesome,i can't wait 2 play as i ave had so many problems with skyrim only 1 upset i got with it that no one has even told besthda that there vampire cure quest is screwed yeah i know some of you think omg shut up but not everyone whats to b a vampire,i by acdient became a vampire and went to get the cure only to find that it was screwed in the same place that it was in oblivion.

I am not sure what you mean about the vampire cure quest being screwed...it worked fine for me. However to answer you question if you join the dawnguard you do not need to become a vampire lord, but for the vampire quests you do.
