Dawnguard not an Add-on?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 9:15 pm

Okay. I updated Skyrim and got Dawnguard today, and it is in my Xbox's memory storage listed as "Marketplace content", or something like dat... When I played Skyrim, Dawnguard isn't listed when I check the "add ons" thingy.. Is this suppose to happen?

I do notice that I have Horse-Combat now, which is part of Dawnguard add-on last I check... But hadn't manage to figure out how to start nor get WW perks to work...

Can someone help me out here? I am badly confused!

you press B when in werewolf mode. if it doesn't work, you'll need to redownload Dawnguard. Horse-combat was part of the 1.6 update, not Dawnguard

Try redownloading it. It should be in the addons, and whenever I click play now button (before continue, load, new game, etc) it says loading add ons. So try reinstalling it.

you'll need to redownload Dawnguard.

Not possible...

Would it be possible to put Dawnguard on another storage unit then transport it back?

What are you talking about not possible? If you got it off marketplace than you can always redownload it. Simply delete and then go back on marketplace and select "Redownload"
Or if you got a physical copy then delete it and install to hard drive again.
Easy.

1. Dial-Up. I got lucky today and was able to take my Hard-Drive to a friends house after a funeral and he let me update all my stuff and get Dawnguard... (Which truly didn't work. Everything is working fine except Dawnguard and Xbox Dashboard. When I got back home, my Xbox went back to an older version of the Dashboard which didn't had an avatar but then got a small update from Skyrim-CD)
2. Redeem Code. I bought a Redeem Code for Dawnguard which can only be used once, if I'm correct unless Dawnguard becomes 'unlocked' for me when I used it.. Then in which case, I should be able to re-get it IF I get lucky again...

Physical Copy as in CD or something else?

Did you recover your Gamertag when you put in your dlc code? It would have been safer to have brought your xbox to his house.

Horse combat isn't a part of Dawnguard btw.

I can only imagine how disappointed you must be. Unfortunately I can't help as I've never heard of anything like this. My only suggestion would be to contact tech support, although I'm not sure if it should be MS or Bethesda?

Anyway, I hope you get it sorted out.

Is this a Deja-vu thread? I could've sworn I read a thread where everyone told you you could not bring it to your HDD to your family member's house because now your Dawnguard purchase is associated with his physical xbox... and you need to do a license transfer.

Edit: Yes it is.

He has his solution in this thread fellas, this can be locked or whatever.

I had a problem similar to this years ago. Even though the content was downloaded to your hard drive it may be licensed to your friend's 360, so you could try transferring all licenses to your system when you get a chance.
