Lucil Finally Has Hair and something about Vampire Hunting

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:45 am

Okay this made be an odd thread to some, they want to know why the heck in the world am I writing about my character's hair. Hair for me in Skyrim has always been a problem. I wish they brought back the Hair Length Slider, the one thing I don't like is long hair on guys. I chose a style for Lucil finally, it was one of the short ones, but I wish I could make the back shorter. It's the kind of short one with rough spikes and sometimes has two braids on either side as an alternate. And Lucil looks good. I always have had a problem with hair for my characters. I always end up making them bald and put them in hoods. But with the rataway feature I finally had the chance to try and give Lucil hair.

Lucil is my Nightblade assassin from the Dark Brotherhood, he's a Breton. And he actually is now wearing vampire armor and the shrouded hood with some handwraps. I would give out a photo, but now I am playing Skyrim on a crap of a TV. And always had the Xbox 360 version and it feels like Deimos's pictures [in my avatar] turned out lucky cause I have to take screenshots with a camera. I wish they just had a screenshot feature for the Xbox 360 and not just some Kinect thing.

Story wise Lucil was the son of a Nord thief and a Breton barmaiden. So that's why he's a Breton in game, cause when it does come to other races the child takes on the mother's race. And the Nord probably didn't even, it was probably a one night stand and left the woman. Cause he's a Nord thief and that's what he does, no time for raising kids. Anyway, the Breton Barmaiden [like how I don't give her a name] raised Lucil in the ways of magic, she wanted him to go to the College of Winterhold. But plans led to other plans. At fifteen his mother had lost her job [I didn't know barmaidens back then could lose their job] and they were barely making ends meet. Originally he was a freelance pick pocketed, and that would have you led to believe he would follow in his father's footsteps. But he followed a completely different path. One day he pick pocketed the wrong person. A Nord and he was to very happy about it, decided to take the law in his own hands and bash Lucil with his mighty warhammer. Lucil managed to fend the man off, get around the man and stab him. Sneaky light feet. In a twist of fate [or maybe just convenience] the Nord was also a Brotherhood contract and a black hand brother had been stalking the Nord man.

Both impressed and maybe a little frustrated the black hand brother swore to Lucil he would have to repay his dues of the contract at hand. Lucil was brought forth to Astrid, and has been working in the Brotherhood since the rightful age of seventeen. It has been about three years now. And yes I took some liberaty with the story, but it gets boring just following the Skyrim way all the time.

Anyway, the reason I wrote that long winded backstory. And wrote the crap about hair and Vampire Armor. Is I was wondering, lore wise not just from my character stand point also game, if a Vampire Hunter could be someone from the Dark Brotherhood? Lucil...helped guide Meridea's light into her sanctuary [of course while robbing the sanctuary blind lol] and is now equipped with the Dawnstar. [Yes Lucil is filled with ironic contradictions, vampire hunter, wear vampire armor, dark brotherhood, wield the dawnstar]

You mean the Dawnbreaker. Wielding the Dawnbreaker. But ya know, Bethseda decided to use the name Dawn three times. Dawnguard, Dawnstar, and Dawnbreaker. I could see how you'd get confused about which is which. lol. God you're so goofy sometimes.

Nope that I finally just gave my character hair and wasn't being picky. None of the hair is new. I just finally stopped being picky. Lucil's been running around with a buzzcut [but in this case because of the time period of the game, wouldn't it be Razor Cut?]. Anyway, I finally gave him hair and he looks good now and I don't have to worry about taking his hood off any more to see his beautiful head with no hair.

Now I wish Vampire's could be customized. Cause some gone darn glitched and Deimos's hair color is making him look old. He wears a hood to hide the grayish hair. lol.

And I did goof, I meant Dawnbreaker, weilding Dawnbreaker.

I guess no one is interested. Even still I took some pictures of Lucil. Now I know he looks like he has dead eyes much like Deimos is blind. But actually Lucil just has some silver sky blue eyes. Now bare with the pictures. I did what editing I could. See we use to have an HDTV that's how I took Deimos's picture. Now we have this crappy as tube television that I can't work with and the camera just hates it.

Anyway for your viewing abomination pleasure:

http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m507/Dream_Sequencer/Lucil-1.jpg, just standing you know close to a fire for unknown reasons. I don't think he's a arsonist. But his favorite destruction spell is flames. Hmm.

http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m507/Dream_Sequencer/Lucil2-1.jpg, he really hates his hood off, I finally give him hair and he kept looking away from the camera.

http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m507/Dream_Sequencer/Lucil3-1.jpg, Showing off his light feet

And I'll write down his equipment:

-Vampirer armor and boots

-Shrouded hand wraps

-Shrouded hood

-Orc dagger [when just sneak killing humans and animals]

-Dawnbreaker, undead killing machine.

Well, since there is a vampire in the DB I would assume your character just put family above killing vampires in that case. Otherwise, I don't see why not.

Maybe he chooses the Dawnguard because it is the lesser of two evils? Like here is the option:

-Don't kill Harkon and accept his gift become a Vampire Lord

-Join Dawnguard kill Harkon's clan

Maybe Babette he doesn't kill cause:

1. She's family

2. Lucil doesn't see her as evil

Lucil has always, I felt, had an odd sense of moral justice. He does as Astrid instructs because that is how he has to survive, that's how his mother survives. Nothing further than there is nothing else he can do, he also is indebted to them for breaking a Night Mother Brotherhood. That and he's the Listener, he's almost how do I put...forced into continuing the dark brotherhood. He sees the brotherhood as evil and good. He believes sometimes the dark brotherhood commit acts of evil and I feel I must wash away my sins. But he also believes that sometimes they provide good, to kill someone whom has done wrong, to slit his neck, and have all the evil pour out of his veins I see as something good.

I feel like I'm boring people.

A little bit off-topic I realize, but II tried using Dawnbreaker and I did not like my results. It's a fairly weak weapon imo. The weapons you get from the Dawnguard are far more powerful.

All the Daedric artifacts are let-downs imo.

I think it does fine. Slicing the necks of vampires.

My only issue is I have to really suspend my belief. The Dawnbreaker is a super shiny sword and I'm wondering how does no one see this shiny sword in the corner of a room.
