Question about the bedrooms wing?

MUST you have this in order to be able to adopt I was just wondering because I really would rather have an enchanters tower but I don't want to lose the option to have children.
P.S I know you can build multiple houses but I just wanted to know this for future reference.

My Kajit(spelling) adopted without the bedroom wing. It may have been a glitch, but it let me do it with the two single beds upstairs. I had to have my wife move there first though.

I'm not sure but I think so. There aren't kid beds in the Main Hall I dont think but I may be wrong. Save, try it, reload save.

You can build a double bed and two single beds upstairs in the main hall. so I think you'll be ok. But do as I do and save your game before trying it out. Someone else will probably post if you definitely can at some point but that's all the info I know just now.

The single beds and their adjacent furniture upstairs in the main hall are suitable for adopted children. You do not need the bedroom wing.

For my first character Braggen put the bedroom wing on Lakeview Manor, found out it attracted too many dragons and sent the first child off to Heljarchen Hall instead, the wife turned up when Dorthe did. So for the three beds (and 1 coffin) that house has, there are now 5 people living there.

You only need the two single beds and dresser as the minimum in the main hall upstairs. Just tested that with an otherwise empty house- allows you to adopt two children.

It's true, having the double bed and two single beds and I could adopt Francois from the Orphanage. And now to wait for the moment I can train him to be like his adoptive pa - a Necromancer!
