If given the choice, The Pale.

I like all the locations they've given us. I think they are well chosen. Including the ones in the original game. Every hold except Winterhold is covered and they are a good divide of inner city homes and rural ones. Markarth was my favourite for the marital home (Aela as the misses - the ancient Nord armor  ) and breeze home was my more practical home from home (like my office from which I do my doing from. Riften was my second office)

I am still working on my new homes but they are certainly taking shape and finding individual roles. Morthall I think is going to be more mage based (looking for a female mage as a steward - will possible use one from Mages Guild) and Dawnstar more military (I have the Imperial soldier lady from The East Empire Company in Windhelm as my steward there). Falkreath I haven't got yet but am considering it as a second marital home after Markarth city home,

Now all I want is an ultimate home fit for the Dovakiin built in the city of Winterhold

If I could put a house anywhere.. I guess I'd pick outside of Whiterun. Breezehome is awesome, but the land outside the city is begging for another building to be placed.

If given any choice, I would want the Rift. I like the lake, rivers and the woods.

Otherwise Falkreath would of been decent if there wasn't a necromancer neighbor but unfortunately my game is bugged... Windstad Manor will have to do.

Honeyside was a homely place but it was a little small for my taste.

I would've put it in a nicer location, closer to a city (though, not necessarily inside it). Perhaps land around Whiterun, Riften, or Markarth.

If I could choose anywhere and only one place I'd choose Winterhold as the city is in ruin so I'm sure the Jarl will allow me to build myself a super home provided I make a deal to build the city up. With all my masses of gold septims and with all my fame I'm sure this project is not beyond me. It'll benefit the Jarl, it'll benefit me and it'll benefit the Mages Guild
