Still need help with a .nif

I have a fairly nice looking belt thing that I want to add to the game. I have the mesh all ready, but I can't seem to get it to play nice with skyrim. Up until Nifskope everything looks normal, but then things go sideways. The belt clips through the body something fierce (I don't know how to weight paint) and for WHATEVER reason every time I make it (I've remade the thing like, three times) it makes the player's skin disappear. I have no idea why.

What I'd like is to PM someone the link and have them take a look. Hanaisse helped with a few things, maybe he'll pop in here to save the day again. In any case, I'm totally stumped with this.

Things I've tried:
Setting the paths to the same skin textures used in vanilla
copying the LightingShaderProperty directly from another mesh
deleting the body and re-importing, starting from scratch essentially
messing around with shader flags. A lot.

but, no matter what I do, the torso either comes out completely black and no textures can be added, or the body is invisible entirely. Or, the body comes out with the textures added, but in game look shiny and weird. I have no idea what's going on.

So yeah, if someone wants to be my miracle worker I'll PM you a link to the file and we'll see where it goes from there.
