It all started with the "The Forsworn Conspiracy" quest. I completed that along with No One Escapes Cidhna mine. Now when I enter the city, I get attacked immediately and I can't surrender or pay off the bounty or my game will freeze and I'll have to restart it completely. This is really annoying because I have quite a few quests that I need to do in Markarth. I can't do those quests since I'm constantly being attacked and everybody that's not attacking me just runs away.

I'm playing on PC if anyone knows a solution to the game freezing when surrendering/paying off bounties..

If you wiki the console command list you can find the one that allows you to add or remove a bounty. Would give that a try.

By chance is one of your quests there for the Thieve's Guild to get the Falmor translation? Guards will be after you with no surrender options and you may want to complete that quest before re-entering Markarth.

No I did that one a while back. I'll look up the console command you suggested.
