Help: Custom animal dialog stops working after animal is hit

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 8:18 pm

I created a dog and a fox follower with expanded dialog commands, like go home, wait, etc. Everything works fine, until... I hit the fox with a combat spell.

If the fox gets hit by flames or sparks (the only two spells I've tested with), he will no longer respond to the dialog options. If I "Talk" to him, the dialog options come up like before, but I cannot select any. There are some that are shared by both the dog and fox and I can use still use all the commands with the dog.

Additional info:
1. This problem doesn't occur from melee damage
2. Doesn't matter if it's damage while in combat or if I just cast flames on him
2. If I save and immediately reload, the dialog commands work again (doesn't require a game restart)

I have tested everything I can think of and haven't found what is causing this. I've changed the animal race to the dogs, I've create a whole new actor, I've recreated the fox from scratch, I've created a custom face for the fox, I have completetly removed the custom script. Nothing makes any difference.

Anyone have ideas? (Of course I've googled for this, but found nothing.)
