My prediction for the next elder scrolls DLC.

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 4:48 pm

Here it is summarized:
Akatosh is infudiated that talos is not being worshipped as a divine anymore. So he allows the daedra into tamriel. The thalmor (who are secrer daedra worshippers) predicted this would happen. The thalmor chose talos as the god to ban worship upon because it would cause a large uproar, and likely start riots/rebellions within the empire, thus weaking it. The thalmor were right, as many people (except rebels) say "by the eight" instead of "by the nine". so back to the daedra, the dremora invade tamriel yet again, and the thalmor attempt to make a bargain with clavicus vile. This does not work out, and the dremora destroy almost all of the high elf homeland. Thus the thalmor is forced into an uneasy alliancd with the empire/stormcloaks to rid nirn of the daedra yet again.

This is my theory based on the book, "The Amulet of Kings". I believe it can be found in Israns room in fort Dawnguard. Let me know your thoughts.

Why should Akatosh help the Empire's enemies ?
Akatosh was the motivator of it !

Why would Akatosh let the daedra into Tamriel? It just doesn't make sense, especially not after the Oblivion crisis...

Because the empirs banned the worship of a divine. Read the book, and I think it will make more sense.

Exactly.

So what !?
Akatosh will never do such a thing.

People still worship Talos WITHIN the Empire , just secretly.

And it's like:

Akatosh: Ah well they don't worship Talos let's open another possibility to end the world , it will be really fun !

Won't happen. First of for obvious reasons like Bethesda not wanting another Daedric invasion in TES games this soon after Oblivion.

Then there are the more important things.

- Akatosh and Mehrunes or any other Daedra are not friends
- It is unknown if Akatosh can even break the barrier again
- Thalmor do not worship Daedra, they worship Aedra
- Akatosh would not care about Lorkhan

This has become irrelevant since the dragonfires became irrelevant.

Another book (that can be found in the temple of Kynareth) states that Alduin and Akatosh are the same thing

In other words: don't trust everything you read.

And even if it's true (which it could be, I don't know), it would make more sense if The divines just aided the Stormcloaks/Legion in a war against the Dominion. People still worship Talos so there is no reason to destroy the world.

Just read the book! and akatosh himself isnt just like, " oh ill let them in." Its very hard to explain, and it would make much more sense if you read the book.

Doubt it, at least right now. The Thalmor are ancient traditionalists. Those people would hate Daedra worshippers. Daedra worship became a bit more common in the Summerset Isles before the Oblivion crisis, it seems very unlikely that it still is now.

I've read the book and it still makes no sense.

Oh I forgot that there are 200 years since people said Daedra worship increased in the Summerset Isles , Lol !

This is stupid on so many levels.

The Thalmor are villainous enough without being secret Daedra worshippers.

What's wrong with worshipping Daedra? Azura, Mephala, Boethiah made a rather long working society. Malacath guides the Orcs and keeps them in shape more so then any Aedra does. Worshiping Meridia would lead you on a crusade against the undead and vampires, something that would not be evil either.

Not all Daedra are evil.

daedra are not good or evil simply gray. like azura for instance nice girl she the benevolent guide for the pc in morrowind but lets not forget she curse the dunmmer just cause she had a slight trick done to her. the only deadra that would have any desire to destroy nirn is dagon and that only cause hes the prince of change

Doesn't "Hearthfire" make you think of certain things like homesteads, farms... ever play the game Haven and Hearth?

The dragons are dealt with... the civil war is over... the vampires are vanquished... Skyrim has had it rough but now is the players chance to rebuild the ravaged homeland.

Farming (grain mills, crops etc) and economy greatly expanded.

Rebuild and repair certain locations which were ruined/destroyed.

New npcs to replace the inevitable losses incurred during the various crisis (not respawns, new characters, new names, faces).

The mainquest of the dlc sees the player become... you guessed it, High King, appoint followers as Jarls (could be merely a glorified version of the spouse "live in that house" command)!
Expanded follower mechanics for the High King, travel with a retinue (up to four followers, a dog, horses for all and summons/thralls... too much?)

Finally once Skyrim as been returned to glory and is ready... the next dlc is announced... the long awaited full Thalmor invasion!

I've only played Skyrim, and a little Oblivion ( my small mind got confused, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO LEVEL UP!) and over 200 hours of Skyrim, and that doesn't make seance for this to happen. Talo's is still worshiped greatly, and mostly secretly, also the High Quean of Skyrim does somewhat if I'm correct worship Talos.
