I thought an armory would give me a forge. Damn

I chose the armory for the est wing because I really want a forge at my house. I don't see any way to get one.

Can I replace the east wing with something else somehow? I deleted the save.

Can I get a forge at my house?

The forge is in the cellar, all three houses can have one. But then any of those anvil things you do the iron fittings on does the same thing.

Don't get armory. The Basemant pretty much is almost like this with Shrines, Target Patrice. Unless the Armory has this

The armory is for the display and maintenance of weaponry and armour, so very desirable for someone who wants to put their collection on display, nothing like what is in the cellar

Yeah, I just figured that out. I am happy I chose it.

Me too. I'm glad I also chose the enchanting tower for the west wing. It adds another manequin and tonls of cool looking strong boxes and shelves. I didn't add the enchanters table as it really dosen't need it. The tower without the table, to me at least, is almost like an armory tower. This house is my warior/ weapon/ storage house. If you merge the armory and the storage room in the back, you get a huge, sweet deck. I'm glad I chose this for the Lakeview Manor house.

you can have a forge in your basemant and outside your house...check the workbenches for misc ;)

edit meant smelter, you can have a forge in your basemant as well as an anvil in the main hall which does the same thing as a forge

I originally built the forge and smelter in the basemant and then I decided to add in the armory. I thought that a forge or anvil was available in the armory so I loaded a save game from an hour ago. Was a waste of time knowing that I had to rebuild the forge in the basemant anyways. IMO, the workbench and grindstone makes the armory really crowded, that could all be done in the basemant. Wish that Beth had "remodel" options to remove things. They don't show you where your choices go and I'm finding certain rooms to be crowded.

Sadly I am disappointed by the enchanters tower. It's about the size of a walk-in closet even though there are multiple levels. When I think tower, I think about having a nice spiral staircase and spacious enchanters lab where I can display my oddities. Having to walk out of my closet and going upstairs to get to the next level kind of kills it.

you can put an anvil in the back room of the main hall that functions as a forge (without taking up all the floor space). It's like 5 steps from the armory doorway.

Edit: also no stupid load screen to get to the one in your cellar.

Agreed on the deck. I chose the bedroom set as well as the storage and armory to get the full thing. You get the 5 mannequins, plus the 1 up stairs, and the one in the cellar, so thats plenty for me.

Like other people have said, you can build a forge in the cellar. The Armory is more for storing your weapons and showing them off.

Yeah, I saw that and thought about it. Then the smelter is in the basemant anyways so figured why not just build it down there. I didn't put the anvil upstairs. That room is just kind of weird, kind of like the kitchen backroom, thought having an anvil is just odd.

I like the armory for it's show functions and the fact that you can have 5 manequins in it. Only thing I don't like is that it takes up the same place as the library.
Ah well, my books will once again go into the wardrobe I'm afraid. :(
