Crossbow Bolts? : V

Why can't we make crossbow bolts? I would think that would be something important to add into the game along with the ability of making arrows.

Yep. I spend most of my time now smithing steel bolts just to make sure I don't run out. I have a thousand of them.

Neither do I. I was extremely disappointed to find that silver weaponry wasn't expanded on. It's perfect for hunting vampires, after all.

Probably to emphasize that the Dawnguard only picks on Vampires. They don't [censored]s with the Companions. In alot of the Radiant Quests you actually go into Silver Hand holds to kill a Master Vampire.

EDIT: Although, I wish there were actually crossbow bolts for each tier and class as well as the crossbows themselves, instead of just steel and dwarven.

Wait what? You can craft bolts, you have to have the steel smithing perk if you want to smith steel bolts.

No, you need to "learn" how to make crossbows and crossbow bolts from a Dawnguard faction npc.

Bolt crafting is for Dawnguard-side only, after appropriate quest(s) are completed.

Im on the dawnguard side, i already turned in the schematic and a still cant smith crossbow bolts. Do i need a specific perk?

I found well over 100 Dwarven bolts while cruising through Irknthand during a Thieves Guild quest. I found them on the Dwaven Sphere Masters and Spiders. I think most of the Automatons you kill are carrying some.
