Why I will not be buying Dawnguard

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:26 pm

I've spent 60$ on a game that I think lacked quality and content. However, I enjoyed it for a good week maybe. I expected patches to be more eventful and fulfilling but was rather let down.

Dawnguard looks great but I have a very good feeling I won't be satisfied as I was with the original storyline arc and even the side questing storylines. I probably will not be throwing my money into Bethesda anymore since I lack the trust in them to give me quality content.

I'd like to see the responses I get to convince myself that perhaps I'm wrong.

tldr; I don't think Dawnguard should be worth money after the initial cost, especially given the quality of the initial content before and after the patches.

Dawnguard will add more bugs to an already buggy game. It also adds even more bad design decisions. Bethesda is really showing their skills now.

So here's the thing - you post a "challenge" that is a complaint about the overall game -though you are certainly entitled to your opinion - and seem to be insisting that others should "convince" you to purchase a DLC you claim disdain for, more or less.

How about, instead, just looking through the myriad threads, with pros and cons and various discussions, to make the determination for yourself whether you wish to purchase a DLC, rather than expecting people to either talk you into it or to pile on to your bandwagon of "the game lacked originality and content".

So we have a whole forum full of data for you to review.
