I started playing online PSN multiplayer DOOM 3, and I've been having issues. Connection-wise my Ping is ALWAYS above 200, however my internet is really good. I have an 18mb down and 1.5mb up, so I shouldn't be having these issues. Please check on your netcode ID soft, thank you.

200 is fine. Its more dependant on how far the server you are connecting to is. Further the server, the higher the ping.

Dude seriously, you know having a fast down stream doesn't effect your "latency" right?!?!?! Lulz

200 ping is pretty horrendous for any online game. Doom 3 had terrible connection issues back in 2004 and it still does now.

THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not believe a game would be released with such horrific networking code. The multiplayer should have been deleted from game. Only allowing 4 players lets us know that they are aware of the latency issue, prior to releasing the game. No map cycle, LAME. Can not setup a dedicated server, so players might be able to play on even ground, LAME. My advise to Id Software and Bethesda is to play UT3 on the Ps3 with its dedicated servers, map cycle, voting, and no latency issues, as an example. Any more medicare game title releases from Id Software and you guys will be looking for a job at EPIC.

i think we should create a wagon and just forget about beth/id and stay with games like cod since they seem to fix more issues in less time then beth/id does.

i also think we should go to the media and give them very bad rep, so noone will buy doom 4 or future titles. look at rage for crying out loud they still didnt even fix that fall out, etc. If they don't keep their fanbase happy why should we stay with them? i already gave them a set time frame if they do not make an update to fix major issues, within 30 days of game release i am going to request my money back for this beta game..
