Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 3:50 pm

i just beat the 3rd hell hunter and destroyed the 4 power cores, it's a small area, pretty sure the only way out is on the lift i arrived in, when i hit the switch, the lift WILL NOT move. the interface animates when i click the button, but nothing happens. i've looked around everywhere but can't seem to figure out where else to go. anyone pass this?

The lift worked in my playthrough. That was on the digital version of the PS3 version.

It worked in my hard copy, too. It seems like a random bug, and it really makes me wonder what's causing it to trigger.

BUMP!

I am short of returning the game disk. My game is invariably stuck due to this. (This bug was also reported back when the original ROE for the PC was released)

The fact the PC owners have cheats to help them around makes this even more frustrating.

I have tried reloading earlier saves multiple times. Tried it with both an unpatched and patched game.

Even desperate measures like shimmying around ledges and rocket jumps wont work.

.....help me please....

had to start over. the elevator worked after 3rd boss, got past it. it is, in fact a glitch. i have save file for proof. i did some digging, and someone had posted this EXACT issue on a doom forum for XBOX 7 years ago. shame it wasnt rectified in BFG ed.

Thanks for the reply bro.

I am afraid I will have to return the disk or trade it in for another game at a small cost.

Bought this game just for a nostalgia trip. Back in the 90's I didn't have a full time job or had a family, wife and kid etc. =D and had all the time in the world to build PC's and play games and sit through all those Q2/Q3 fragfests, thanks to them, have Edge and DM17 etched in my soul. Heck, I remember those hours just messing around with config files.

Now, things have obviously changed and those few hours I already put in playing through this 'remastered' ROE can't be bought again....honestly. Even my minutes are numbered now. =/ The beginning of you thirties does this to you.

Surprisingly, I have had this PS3 for over five years now, have a small collection of around 11-12 games but I really haven't played it much except for a bit of LBP and GT5. Judging the amount of 'polish' gone in this recycled dead horse of a release, I feel like a scammed idiot.

WTG id/bethesda. Whatever you guys have become, I feel sad. Brilliant business scheme though. Gotta hand it to you.
