I've no idea why this don't work

Kia Ora

I followed the tut to the letter got the wrdoorcastlesecret01 and a NorPullChain01,
Double Clicked the Door and selected Activate Parent, selected the Pullchain, got the wee blue and white
link line,.. didn't work, changed the pullchain to a GenPullChain01 just incase,.. didn't work.

I then got a NorPortcullisLarge01 and the NorPullChain01 as per the tutorial and so I could keep my secret door
I used Edit on the Door and selected the wrdoorcastlesecret01 Nif as the model everything else is the default, only
the model is different,.. still don't work,.. I put a chain on the back of the door so theres two parent links like the tut
just incase,.. still don't work

Any thoughts please

Just in case I'm not being understood,.. I'm saying I did everything right and it doesn't work, I need to know why
and I'm asking for reasons why this might be happening.

I have not found the place where the wrdoorcastlesecret01.nif is used so I don't know if it needs one type of switch
I don't know if scripts have to be edited or not thats why I'm asking

I found that some of the secret doors don't work like that, for example nor secret door 1 works (the one that looks like rocks) but 2 doesn't (the arch one). I didn't mess around with the door but you could take a look at the scripts attached to the door you are trying to use. If it is not the same as the doors which work, create a duplicate of the door you need and add the scripts from the working door.

Hope it helps, it is tricky when you expect things to work the same way! :D

It may be to do with the animation data or something complex like that, I reckon swapping scripts may be better than trying to swap models...

Both doors use the same script,.. so beat me why it doesn'r work.

Should I not be able to pull a door activator and a chain into the render window,. double click the door select activate parent and select the chain
and go for it?

The wrdoorcastlesecret01 and the NorPortcullisLarge01 are both the same type of activator as far as I can see
