Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 9:13 pm

Hello guys!
I need some help to create an arrow who emit light :lightbulb: . I've already made the meshe on Blender but I don't know how to lit it when I shoot.
Here is the problem, I've made my arrow meshe, and there is a little orb at the end

I would like to show you with screens but it says that I'm not allowed to post links...
Now what I want is when I throw this arrow the orb starts to emit a bright light to illuminate the area, but I don't know who to do it.
If someone know how to bring light on a meshe like my arrow, it would be great.
Thank you in advance for your help.
PS : Sorry for my english...

When you bring the mesh into CK and create a Projectile that uses it, you can assign a light source to the projectile. That, by itself, won't make the orb glow, but it will let your arrow cast light as it flies.

You may be able to make the orb have a glowing appearance by using info in this tutorial:

But when the arrow reach his target, the light disappear, and I want her to illuminate even when she has arrived...

Maybe you can make a custom explosion that has an empty mesh but the same lightsource as the projectile. Give it a lengthy duration, then attach that Explosion to the projectile. If the arrow sticks in whatever it hits, then that will probably look pretty good. If the arrow bounces off, though, the glow will stay at the point of impact, not follow the arrow.

It's not a perfect solution, but it's the best I can think up without involving scripts, because I'm pretty sure you can't attach scripts to a projectile.
