So my bf was playing the game and he was building his home like a rabid builder and moved his family in. All was fine and dandy until he would attempt to build Arcane Enchanter, Chandelier, etc...and even purchases from the house Carl and they wouldn't show up in the house and his purchases wouldn't pop up either. Then when he goes back to the workbench to try and build it again, the whole menu disappears...sometimes when he chooses to build something the menu will disappear too...not too sure if there's a fix for this or not...

Check the workbench list out to see if you have everything you need, if not go and obtain it before building anything. Then do the entire list in one go, but do it reasonably slowly to make sure nothing gets left out. You can do it in sections if you do not have enough materials for more than one area. But do not leave the area without having everything done on the list, or it can reset, remove what you want, or something is not going to turn up that you already built. If it resets and you end up building what you already have, it takes more materials to build what you did not need.

And when building rooms or wings be sure to follow the order you are given, and do not go and start a new area before finishing the one you already started building.
