Hi just trying to find out what I am going to need to do when dawnguard comes out to ensure mods are compatible.

I have a personal mod that effects most armors and weapons in game, this mod also effects the levelled list that contain armor and weapons.

What I want to know is if when Dawnguard is release will simply be able to activate the dawnguard.esm as well as te skyrim.esm and my mod and fix the effected levelled list or will my own mods changes overrule the new dawnguard levelled list changes. I am thinking the vampire armor is a prime target as I known they have new armor now not using the generic lists.

Any light would e really helpful.

Fast answer is we don't know ... we can guess at stuff, but we don't know ... and won't until the PC version is out (and everything we all modded is brokenz )

Rather than editing the Leveled Items directly, you'd be better off using http://www.creationkit.com/AddForm_-_LeveledItem. Odds are the DLCs will have an init quest which updates FormLists/LeveledItems with a script to ensure compatibility with future DLCs. By the same token, it's better for a mod to use a script to edit such forms that it too will not conflict with anything else editing the same form(s) directly or indirectly.

How do you use the addform you mentioned. Problem is I am not only adding to the levelled list I am directly changing the levels involved ie much higher levels before higher armors and weapons appear.

Ah. If that's the case, then directly editing the LVLIs would be a necessity. Bashed patch is probably the way to go.
