Seems like a good idea. A nice castle for all your war service with different guards or if ypur not into war a sort of gift for all your honors

The great thing about a DLC like Hearthfire is that they can patch in new content. New house types, rooms, etc. In all honesty, I'd be surprised should they decide not to add more things to it.

The houses you can build in Hearthfire are basically a Longhouse, much like the Jarls have in the lesser holds.
