I was wondering if you can change a room if you have built it but not furnushed it?

Nope. The best you can do is load from a previous save before you added the room.

Which is a good time for a PSA: Save after every option you add, as you may not like it. Yes, it's tedious, but since there's no option to remove once added, it's your only option.

Yes, just go to a previous save, and save often! Sometimes I saved after each piece of furniture I built because I didn't like where there were placed or all the added junk that came with.

If you mean, will the existing DLC elements be identifiable enough for PC users to remove via commands or mods, I expect the answer is "yes".

It is rather pointless... you can't just convert an unwanted wooden object to, say, firewood. Or a metal one to scrap (forgable into iron ingot)

But I agree that you should not be able to deconstruct rooms once they're built. It's like 'measure twice, cut once'.

Or if you want to start a new, I think you can delete the add on. This will remove everything DLC related. So no house or no hearthfire stuff. You will lose the money and materials also items if you don't move them from your house.

Yes, but in order to measure, perhaps the DLC would have given us a ruler?

I mean, it's one thing to select the option of "put cabinet with display case" but the game does this and puts out barrels, sacks, or other obstructions in order to fill a void. It's not critical, but it was unexpected.

You'll see. Build the storeroom and add everything. It gets so cramped, my tail keeps knocking things off and we know how much fun it is to place things.

Well if you can manage to carry your house over to Belethor, I am sure he would buy it, unfortunately houses are not really items you can carry to your local trader. The Jarl let you buy the land, it is yours for life, just like you are stuck with any house you brought.
