Help with Creature Creation

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 10:51 pm

I am a complete noob with using the Creation Kit and was wondering how to make my own custom monsters and creatures. Say, for example, I wanted to create a T-Rex to put into Skyrim, how would i go about doing that? I've watched several tutorials but none really cover making your own things. Is Creation Kit even the right program to make your own monsters?

You must use a 3D modelling program (Blender, 3DS Max etc) to make the model (and textures, and animation and so on). You'll need other third party tools as well

(this is so not easy it is untrue ... hardly anyone has done it, as far as I know).

If you search the MODs forum you might find some tutorials (there are tutorials for armor/clothing and weapons etc).

Once you have your model all good to go, the CK is used to create the character (how it fights and so on) to which the model is added

Best of luck (you will need it!) :)

You can't make a fully custom skyrim creature without basically hacking through parts of the animation system. You can retexture creatures. You can remodel creatures (change their shape). You can change the way they act in the game. But there isn't an easy way to put together a new creature completely from scratch in Skyrim. In the previous elder scrolls and fallout games it was much easier.
