Multiple voices in unison in a scene?

I have a scene where my new guards are lined up and their new Captain is looking them over. I would like for them to answer him a couple of times in unison with the proverbial “Sir, yes sir” response or something like that. I got it all set up, and when it gets to that Action, they all answer in unison like I want them to, but the scene gets stuck and will not advance beyond that Action. As an experiment, I moved those info’s around and changed the dialog, and as long as there are not 2 people speaking at the same time, it flows through the entire scene as it should.

So, I guess that means it is not possible to have multiple actors speaking in unison in a scene? Is there an option I missed somewhere that would allow this? The one work around I thought might work would be to set the “sir, yes sir” response to the guy in the center of the line, and just layer the track with all of the voices on his dialog info, lol. The only bad thing about that is that it will probably look and sound weird as he will be the only one actually speaking, and the others will not have any lip sync, lol.

Suggestions anyone?

Have you tried putting a Timer in that scene stage, and setting the phase ending condition to IsSceneActionComplete(YourTimeAction)?

if they're not talking to the PC, you could arrange for him to be somewhere where he can't see the guards' mouths. Then the mult-layered track approach shoudld work. Maybe have them all slaute at the same time so they're not all still but one of them.

A good place would be up on a balcony, reviewing the troops, so to speak.
