Should I use my current character?

When Dawnguard eventually comes out for ps3 (yes people it will eventually come out, bethesda isnt going to waste an opputunity to make more money) should I use my current character or make a new one. I current character is a lvl 68 archer who has sneak, pickpocket, lockpicking, smithing, speech, and 1 handed all at a hundred. My dragon scale set has 705 armor rating and my bow does a hundred an eighty-seven damage. I feel this might be too overpowered for Dawnguard. What do you guys suggest I do and can you give me any tips about new builds?

i'd do it with that character, you'll have to make another one anyway to try the opposite side, sounds like your character is perfect to join the dawngaurd. if you feel too uber just drop your current gear and use the new stuff with lighter improvements to get some sense of challenge

I would suggest starting a new character, then doing your second playthrough on your main. I was in about the same situation with my lvl 71 and figured it would be too powerful (and it would have been). I started Dawnguard at lvl 21 on master difficulty and got to feel the real struggle of it, and it was all that more rewarding.
If your going vampire lord you'll want to put a lot of points in magicka haven't done Dawnguard side yet so no suggestion.

make a new one and play both sides.... but use that book glitch to get everything 81 on your other file and play that file on the oposite side then your main of coarse

I plan on using all my characters for the content. I also made a Breton Battlemage (level 24) to immediately take up the questline. I'm sure most folks have planned the same. I guess it comes down to what order you want to use your characters and which side to join.

I used my very first character (level 40ish) for Dawnguard. You don't need to go to the expense of creating a whole new character if you don't want to. If it gets too easy, you could always restrict yourself.

My lv 56 at times feels over powered for Dawnguard but oh well. Wasn't about to create another character. Plus there wasn't much left to do with her if not doing Dawnguard,
