I have followed every tutorial in cyberspace and tried everything possible to make my custom race transform to customracevampire after waiting 3 days when infected with vampirism (created devilrace and devilracevampire, edited the vampireplayerscript to include my customrace etc.). When the vampire change takes place all that happens is my custom race gets all the vampire abilities and racial traits, progresses through the stages of vampirism but devilrace is not changed to devilracevampire and cannot feed on sleeping NPC's. Now if i use player.setrace devilracevampire in the console devilrace IS changed to devilracevampire and I can feed on sleeping NPC's as normal. I have downloaded almost all the new custom race mods on the nexus forums from other modders and every one has the same issue when vampire tested (so i would advise u all to vamp test your new races).

Now my question is this: Has anyone been able to PROPERLY solve this issue yet?

Any help at all with this would be greatly appreciated as it is driving me insane

Found out what was wrong i was trying to become a vampire just after exiting the starting dungeon, apparently the game wont allow this. After travelling to Riverwood teh vampire transformation happened the way it is supposed to, race has changed and can feed on sleeping NPC's
