Achievements Broken?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 2:31 pm

I have all of the achievements aside from Legend, but my console guide says 50/60 for 1000G. Please tell me that the beta testers aren't going to have to recover their gamertags and redo all of the achievemnts. So far, this is what I'm hearing elsewhere. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, you will have to recover your gamertag and re-earn the achievements. I posted about this several times in the beta forum, including the very first day.

I tested this after AlanP's reply by recovering my profile and all of the acievements I unlocked during the beta were, in fact, gone. So, I guess it's not that big a deal if I can just re-do them. I was planing to replay a few times, anyway. The only thing that chaps my ass about this is unlocking the Legend achievement. I've already finished DG on my two above 70 characters, so it's going to be a grind to find a Legendary Dragon.

The price you pay for selling you gamers soul to Bethesda...

Actually, it's all good. I'm a total save [censored], so I just went back and reloaded some key moments and the cheevs popped no problem, The only ones I was really concerned about were the ultra-time consuming ones, anyway. Thanks goes out to Beth for not limiting the number of saves we can have :]

So what you're saying is that you have nothing constructive to add to the thread... I see.

No offense, but why on earth would you play a new DLC (and a beta version, no less) without keeping a backup save from before starting it? Is it your first Bethesda game? ;)

Or did you just level up a lot while playing the new content? EIther way, sorry to hear it.

Oh, well that's good then. I was going to suggest reloading saves if you had them, but it sounded like you didn't.

I got around this by just playing the beta on a separate gamertag. I wanted to keep all my primary stuff safe, and I didn't want to have to recover my profile either.
