Fix this please.

aside from the fact that many of the dawnguard quests are repetitive and the storyline was very underwhelming, it also manages to bungle the standalone game by creating new bugs as well as killing off npc's with dawnguard's random vampire encounters within the city. i'm not being facetious here, but whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be flogged repeatedly.

I liked it. I mean, something have to happen in the cities to break the monotony
I also would love if the sun was blotted permanently, but sadly it isn't.

TES games have NPC's die, deal with it as has every other TES gamer for years.

Uh, you're very much entitled to your own opinion, but I sorta get the feeling that you either didn't fully understand the main quest line, or you rushed it and didn't immerse yourself and understand what's going on, and you didn't bother with any other quests. Maybe you only did those "go and get this" radiant quests and you based your view on that.. There are a few major other sidequests in Dawnguard, like Lost to the ages. People that are really interested in immersion and lore generally likes Dawnguard and the side content it has to offer, because lorewise, Dawnguard has quite abit to offer. If you're given context to what you see and experience, perhaps you'll have a more pleasant playthrough, although then again maybe you're not interested in lore at all.

You could kill the merchants, but other NPC's or creatures did not go into town/cities and kill merchants in any prior TES game.

i was about to call you all kool-aid drinkers and then this guy came in. good on ya.

regardless, i understand people will like/dislike the more "subjective" aspects of the dlc, such as story itself, but for anyone who doesn't see a problem with the random vampires spawning WITHIN the gates of every city, killing npc's (sometimes finding the bodies afterward, not even knowing there was an attack) with no real justification other than to provide a cheap, heavy-handed sense of urgency in pushing the player into the storyline, is just a bethesda apologist. tedium and repetitiveness does not add any "flavor" to the game, no matte how new the content.

They will keep apologising until Beth. brings out some other lame idea that bugs them.

I personally hated dawnguard. And your right....the way they forced the vampires was poor. It basically says: Go and rush through dawnguard quick.

The whole thing was cheap and had a severe lack of imagination.

I wasn't forced to play it. I chose to because ( as i've said ) it was bought for me.

I now no longer have skyrim. I don't like the direction they are going. Dawnguard shows me they are going in the wrong direction even more.

It's a concern for me I'm placing my faith in the modding community in future and not in Beth.

Vampire attacks are a feature not a bug. A feature that they didn't spend too much time think about.

opposed to the slew of replies reducing a legitimate criticism to "whining?" you want to keep your head firmly in the dirt, be my guest, but don't think for one second i'm impressed by your utter lack of an argument. self-affirm much?

Just imagine what we could get in the next DLC, Beth. might come up with a great idea to have a space-time portal open up in cities with Nazi's pouring out machine gunning all the towns folks to bits. I'm sure we would have people saying it's a feature stop your whining and deal with it.

What are you talking about? I just said that the feature was put in the game without much thought. And you can repond without being a [censored].

We like to keep things civil and constructive. I will see if this disaster can be cleaned up.

Nope, not going to be re-opened, starting with the OP's first very rude first reply it went downhill.
