Keeping Patrons Out Of The Bar Area

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 9:01 am

OK. I'm making a pub and I want to have a lot of sandbox things going on.

I've set up a long bar with three lean/polish markers on them, and I want the barkeep to patrol between them.

What I'm finding is that the patrons all take the markers. How do I keep them from using the markers?
I'm assuming there's a condition I can set somewhere, but I can't see it for some reason. Probably staring me in the face.

And is there a way to keep them from going behind the bar in the first place? I'd like a conditional collision box so that only some actors could pass though. Although this one will probably self-solve once the punters' packages are online

L_NavCut collision planes, perhaps.

Hmm, I think you can set the barkeep as the owner of your three markers. (In the "ownership" (i think) tab of your object properties, where you find lock, enable parent, activate parent, etc.)
As you can set some stools or anything to be owned by a YourPubPatrons faction if you don't want your barkeep to use certain things.

Ownership. Yes, that makes sense. Seems I was looking for the wrong thing ;)

I'll try that when I get home.
